Weekly Update: Classroom Safety, COVID-19 Testing and Winter Break Guidance
A recap of Wednesday’s Weekly Update from the Safer Campus Task Force:
- Stetson community members are reminded to report test results over Winter Break through www.stetson.edu/reportit if you are COVID-19 positive, symptomatic or exposed, particularly in the 14 days after you leave campus.
- In support of Stetson’s small group of remaining residential students and due to the decrease in active COVID-19 cases, Stetson returned to Tier 2 at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25. This change for Winter Break allows students to have one Stetson, non-overnight guest in their room.
- Stetson students, staff and faculty who are returning to campus after the Thanksgiving holiday are asked to be extremely mindful of their personal travel plans. With more than 1 million new COVID-19 cases reported in the United States in just the last seven days, the CDC has released special guidance for Thanksgiving. Per the CDC, travel increases your chance of contracting and spreading COVID-19 and the Thanksgiving holiday presents its own risk.
