Flu Shot – Quilt Raffle

According to Florida Department of Health, COVID-19 and the flu have a lot of symptoms in common, so it is more important than ever to get your flu shot. Stetson University will be raffling off a hand-made quilt by Stetson employee, Laura Glander, to anyone who obtains their flu shot by Friday, Nov. 6.

The quilt, created from fabric used to make masks during the pandemic, honors medical personnel.  If you have already obtained your flu shot on or off campus, you can enter the raffle by visiting the Hollis Center during operational hours.  If you have not received your flu shot yet, there are more opportunities to enter the drawing below. All on-campus flu shot events will have raffle tickets available on-site. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to prevent influenza, avoid a mistaken diagnosis of COVID-19, preserve healthcare resources, and take home a beautiful quilt.

Employees: Stetson employees can sign up for flu shots during the Rapid Antigen testing on Nov. 4, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Rinker Field House in the Hollis Center.  We’ll have 100 vaccines for employees only. Sign up here for your employee flu shot appointment. If you are covered under Stetson’s Cigna health insurance, there are several no-cost options available to you if you cannot make it to this event. Local Publix and CVS are providing flu shots that are free with most insurances.

Students: Established patients at Stetson Health Service (have been seen by a provider before) can set up an appointment today for on-campus flu shots. The cost is fully covered by most insurances. Local Publix and CVS are also providing flu shots that are free with most insurances.
