Language of Space – Fresh as Fruit Art Gallery

Fresh As Fruit: pop-up, walk-up, drive-up art gallery.

Come one, come all to Tom’s Auto Repair in Downtown DeLand for the latest Fresh As Fruit exhibition, Language of Space by artist Emmanuel Opoku!

The opening is on Friday, Sept. 18, from 6-9 p.m. and counts toward Cultural Credit with your student ID. Masks are highly encouraged!

Fresh As Fruit gallery is an artist-run exhibition space located in the storefront window of a working mechanic’s shop. This year’s series of pop-up exhibitions highlights underrepresented artists, particularly LGBTQ+ artists and artists of color.

Visiting professors in the Creative Arts (CREA) department, Katie Baczeski and Madison Creech, have curated and cofounded the space at Fresh As Fruit for the students and larger DeLand community to experience contemporary art from all over the nation.

This work can be viewed through the weekend.
