Volunteers needed to work the races at Daytona International Speedway

Stetson Women’s Tennis is recruiting volunteers to work Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15, at Daytona International Speedway during Speedweeks to help fundraise for the Women’s Tennis Team.

Any students who need volunteer hours for their resume are welcome to join in. This is a great opportunity to get out there. Students will join members of the Women’s Tennis Team to volunteer at the Speedway for the NextEra Energy 250 NASCAR Qualifying race on Friday, Feb. 14, and during the NASCAR 300 Racing Experience on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The volunteers will greet ticket holders as they arrive, check wrist bands and help in other customer service areas. They must check in at the track at 11 a.m. on Friday and work for approximately eight to 10 hours, with a meal break and other hourly breaks. On Saturday, they will check in at the track at 8 a.m. and work 10 to 12 hours, with the same times for breaks. Limited carpooling is available from Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The last two years have been a well run and successful volunteering outing for Women’s Tennis. The team would like to recruit more volunteers this year. FEMA certificates are required online. If you’re interested, please email Ros at rdalrymple@stetson.edu.
