Stetson University WORLD will be showcasing 5 summer Faculty-Led Study Abroad programs on Friday, Jan. 31, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in CUB Room 261 (Lee’s Garage). The schedule is as follows:
2 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. General Info on Faculty-Led Study Abroad
Learn general info about Studying Abroad for summer 2020! During this session, we will cover basic information about our faculty-led programs.
2:20 p.m. – 2:40 p.m. South Africa
In Health Systems in South Africa with Dr. Lategan-Rotgieter, students will travel to South Africa and go on excursions, adventures, and field experiences fully immersed in South African culture.
2:40 p.m. – 3 p.m. Barcelona
Multicultural Health Behavior: The Challenges and Opportunities with Dr. D. Magoc explores health-related societal and cultural issues to become culturally competent, essential for the role of health professionals.
3 p.m. – 3:20 p.m .Russia
This is part of the Spring RUSS 390 taught by Professors Zheltoukhova and Kudryavtseva, concentrating on engaging areas of language learning, known as communication, cultures, comparisons, communities and connections.
3:20 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. Belize
Soul Food Across the Color Lines, ENGL 343V1 JS with Dr. S. Campbell, is a part of the Spring 2020 Junior Seminar examining food-related practices from historical, economic, political, religious and medicinal perspectives as they relate to the people of Belize.
3:40 p.m. – 4 p.m. Ecuador
Immerse yourself into another culture, while acquiring language skills through numerous interactions with both the physical and human environment in Ecuador.
