Study Abroad in Barcelona, Spain — Summer 2020!
The application deadline is approaching quickly! Please consider applying for the study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain. This is a 4-credit course. Please note that you are registering for the online section of HLSC 290 (Multicultural Health Behavior) pre-departure/info course (Spring 2020), which includes the abroad component that takes place over the summer.
Note: You can still apply for the program without registering for the Spring HLSC 290 course; however, you will be then responsible for the Summer tuition fee for the course.
This two-week (June 1 – June 13) study abroad program takes place in Barcelona, one of the most amazing places in Europe, known for its architecture. It is located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea. The Barcelona beach was listed as number one on a list of the top ten city beaches in the world.
The program will focus on Multicultural Health Behavior and, among other activities, will include visits (with guided tours) to: Hospital de Sant Pau, Barceloneta, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic Hike, Mount Tibidado Hike (tallest mountain in the Serra Collserola) and Vall d’Aran (3 days/2 nights field trip) – located in the Pyrenees Mountains.
