Staff Training Jan. 9: Managing Your Personal Finances
Stetson staff members have expressed interest in more “training and development programs.” In response, the Staff Advisory Council has organized the “Inside the Hat” professional development series.
Please join us as Stetson alumnus Sean Tamm, a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, provides his professional insights into managing our personal finances.
“Financial Building Blocks to Achieve Fiscal Success”
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Lynn Business Center, room 124
Tamm will discuss such topics as strategic tactics to save for emergencies and basic retirement needs while creating and maintaining a budget and managing debt. He recommends Stetson community members (particularly those attending his session) read the book, “Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness,” by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein, in advance of the session, though it is not required. “Nudge” assists in explaining the psychological and behavioral element, the “personal” in personal finance.
Tamm looks forward to his visit to campus and assisting the Stetson community in meeting and exceeding their personal financial goals.
