Doing Service? Log it on HatterSync

Don’t forget to log your service hours on HatterSync before Dec. 20! Service hours can be logged for hours spent at a nonprofit, school, or government organization in which you were not being paid. These hours could be when you are volunteering or even your time spent doing a non-paid internship at a nonprofit. By logging your service hours, you are able to keep record of your involvement which may be helpful to reference when creating a resume or sharing the impact of your service experiences during a job interview. Logging your hours is super easy and only takes a few minutes to complete, see below for a step-by-step guide.

  1. Log in to HatterSync
  2. Click your name on the top right corner
  3. Click “Involvement”
  4. Click “Add Involvement Entry”
  5. Click “Service Participation”
  6. Fill out all the fields
  7. Click “Submit Involvement Entry”

Remember to include the site supervisor as the reference, three learning outcomes, and a reflection in order to have your entry approved!

Exciting news! With a new year will come a new and improved platform to log service and philanthropic impacts. Be on the lookout in the following weeks for more information about this exciting new platform, GivePulse. As such, we ask that everyone submits their service/involvement entries before the end of the semester as we will be transitioning over winter break.
