Please join us – Robin Kazmarek’s bon voyage party!
Please join the festivities to wish Robin Kazmarek well and thank her for her 15 years of service to the Stetson community. Her bon voyage party will be Thursday, Dec. 12, from noon to 2 p.m. in the McGraw Atrium of the Rinker Welcome Center. Light refreshments will be served and a short program will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Kazmarek has accepted an offer to return to her career development roots and join the Student Professional Development Center at Elon University as the director of Internships for Elon College, The College of Arts and Sciences. Her last day will be Friday, Dec. 13. Robin is from Richmond, and prior to Stetson, spent the majority of her life in the Virginia/North Carolina area, so this move will take her back “home” and close to her family.
We all know the excellent work Robin has recently done as both the assistant director, and now the director of Alumni and Parent Engagement, but you may not know of her many accomplishments from her Campus Life days at Stetson.
Robin became a Hatter nearly 15 years ago when she joined the Campus Life team as the assistant director for Residential Life and Greek Affairs. She skillfully mentored the leadership for 12 national fraternities and sororities on campus, and was deeply loved by the students. Within that same role, Robin successfully lead the opening of the University Village Apartments. After the apartments opened, she moved over to the Career Services office as the assistant director and within the year, was promoted to director. In that role, Robin led the merger of a standalone School of Business career office with the University’s Career Services office to create a unified Career Development office to serve the needs of all students on the DeLand campus. She significantly grew the internship program, and was a valuable member of the on-call team within the division. It was her heart-centered work with students, relationship-building skills, and tremendous work ethic that made her an excellent candidate for the team in Development and Alumni Engagement.
Robin will be truly missed. Please join us in wishing her well.
