New Course! History Practicum: Creating a History Museum Exhibit

Dr. Candace Cunningham, Brown Fellow in Public History, is offering a new course in Spring 2020, 4927 HIST 390, History Practicum: Creating a History Museum Exhibit, open to ALL undergraduate majors!

Creating a quality museum exhibit can be an intimidating but hugely rewarding experience. Students in this class will work together to research, plan, create and evaluate a successful museum exhibit on a local history topic. Students will learn how to: develop a “big idea” (the key research question an exhibit addresses), use collaboration throughout the creation process, appeal to a broad audience with various learning methods, and use experimentation and innovation to create a compelling narrative.
