Stetson Dining will transform Rinker Field House into the campus dining hall from Thursday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 9, at lunch during Homecoming Week.
Special dining events are planned inside the Rinker Field House over these days with giveaways, music and themed meals. Students, faculty and staff will use their meal plans, as usual.
The Faculty-Staff Lounge will be closed on Friday, Nov. 8, only. The Coffee Shop and Hat Rack will remain open, as usual, during these two and a half days. Einsteins Bros Bagels will extend its hours to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8.
The student-run Homecoming Committee and supporting staff members have organized a Food Truck Round-Up for Friday, Nov. 8, from 5-8 p.m. in the Rinker Field Parking Area. Students on a meal plan can use their meal swipe to receive a ticket to eat at one of five food trucks. The food trucks also will accept cash and credit cards and will be open to alumni, faculty, staff and guests. In addition, Stetson Dining will have a grill out as a meal ticket option on Friday night.
The efforts are part of a ticketed Campaign Celebration on Friday night, Nov. 8, to say thank you to donors who contributed more than $200 million to the “Beyond Success — Significance” campaign, including more than $30 million for student scholarships and funds for new buildings, such as the Rinker Welcome Center and the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center.
