Global Brigades 2020 – Informational Session on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m.!

Are you interested in volunteering abroad? Do the words sustainability, empowerment or community resonate with you? If so, come join us for an informational session on how to volunteer with Global Brigades!

Global Brigades is the largest student-led global health movement around the world. It is a nonprofit organization that partners with communities in Central America to strive and meet their health and economic goals while promoting sustainability. Student volunteers participate in brigades that usually last around 7 days. During that time, you get to actively learn about the organization’s holistic model while empowering community members and meeting fellow student volunteers.

Our chapter will be traveling to Honduras this May, following the end of the Spring semester. In previous years, our chapter has hosted medical brigades. We are thrilled to announce that we are preparing for our first Public Health brigade ever at Stetson! We will be holding an informational session on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in Sage Hall Room 242. We’ll be discussing the organization’s goals, schedules and new plans for the brigade! Feel free to invite anyone who might be interested in participating.
