Library Internship Accepting Applications for Spring Semester

The duPont-Ball Library will be offering a library internship in the spring semester.  The internship will give one student an overview of the workings of an academic library and will include activities in all areas of the library, including circulation, archives, instruction, collections management and administration.

Juniors, seniors or graduate students in good academic standing with a 2.5 or higher GPA are invited to apply.  Deadline for application is Nov. 15, 2019.  Applicants will be interviewed soon after that date.

The library faculty and staff hope to attract undergraduates from all majors to this internship opportunity. The duPont-Ball Library developed this internship for two reasons: 1) to attract undergraduate students from all backgrounds to librarianship as a career; 2) to develop research and library navigation skills for students attending graduate school.

The position description of the library’s internship can be found at this link ( and on HatterJobs on the Career Services site. (
