Come work out at the Writing Gym!

The Writing Fellows are kicking off a new program called The Writing Gym. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 22, they’ll offer classes that train, target and tone your writing skills!

These classes are open to ALL students on campus who want a writing workout. As an incentive, all attendees will enter their name in a raffle to win gift cards. The more classes you attend, the higher your chances are of winning! All classes will be held in the Hollis Student Success Center, Room 209.


Tuesday, Oct. 22, 4-5 p.m.: “Academic Language Aerobics”

Friday, Oct. 25, noon-1 p.m.: “Feel the Flow”

Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1:30-2:30 p.m.: “Comma Cardio: Punch-tuation” 

Friday, Nov. 1, 3-4 p.m.: “Check Your Form (atting): MLA, APA, and Chicago”

Monday, Nov. 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m.: “Don’t Drop the Bar: Integrating Sources”

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1-2 p.m.: “Keeping the Heat: Utilizing Thesis Statements”

Thursday, Nov. 7, 4-5 p.m.: “Finding Swole Sources”

Tuesday, Nov. 12, 6-7 p.m.:“Grammar Stretches: Just the Basics”

Wednesday, Nov. 13, 5-6 p.m.: Warming Up! Creating Thesis Statements”
