Dedication Ceremonies for Templeton Fountain, John B. Stetson Sculpture

Please join us for the dedication ceremonies this week for the Templeton Fountain and the John B. Stetson Sculpture, both donor-provided gifts from former university Trustee and Double Hatter Troy Templeton and his wife, Sissy.
- Dedication Ceremony for the Templeton Fountain on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11:45 a.m., east side of the Carlton Union Building
- Dedication and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the John B. Stetson Sculpture on Friday, Oct. 18, at 5:30 p.m., in Palm Court
Troy Templeton,’82, MBA ’83, is the managing partner of Trivest, a private equity firm. He and his wife Sissy are longtime contributors to the university, including to the Stetson Fund, which supports student scholarships, and to endow the annual Templeton Business Ethics Competition.
Also on Friday, Oct. 18, the artist who created the John B. Stetson statue will give an Artist Talk at the Hand Art Center.
- Artist Talk: Erik Blome, the sculptural artist of the new John B. Stetson statue will be offering a public lecture on his past work and his process as a bronze sculpture artist. The lecture will take place in the Hand Art Center on Friday, Oct. 18, at 3:30 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone, but seating is limited, so please arrive early. Cultural Credit is available.
