Last Week to Apply! Workshop with Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela
On Tuesday, March 26, the Multicultural Student Council, in partnerships with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI) and Student Government Association (SGA), will be bringing Ndaba Mandela, the grandson of Nelson Mandela, to campus for a keynote address and a small workshop for students.
The workshop will give 25 students the opportunity to speak with Ndaba on the topic of education, interconnectivity and employment, and how we can use it to empower youth. During the workshop, Ndaba addresses the critical issue of how education and interconnectivity leads to employment in all areas. Ndaba will also discuss his grandfather’s eternal message of the importance of education in one’s life, and also how to create the necessary solid support system of teachers, parents, civic leaders and mentors that it takes to succeed.
This workshop will be from 4 – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26. The students will be selected through an application on Hattersync: https://orgsync.com/120617/forms/350066
The application will close on Friday, March 1, at 11:59 p.m.
