Volunteers needed to work the races at Daytona International Speedway
Stetson Women’s Tennis is recruiting volunteers to work Friday, Feb. 15, and Saturday, Feb. 16, at Daytona International Speedway during Speedweeks, and help raise money for the Women’s Tennis team.
Ros Dalrymple, an assistant coach for Women’s Tennis, said the team is looking for students who need volunteer hours for their resume. They will join members of the Women’s Tennis Team to volunteer at the Speedway for the NextEra Energy 250 NASCAR Truck Series race on Friday, Feb. 15, and during the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 on Saturday, Feb. 16.
The volunteers will greet ticket holders as they arrive, check wrist bands and help in other customer service jobs. They must check in at the track at 11 a.m. on Friday and work for approximately eight to 10 hours, with a meal break and other breaks. On Saturday, they will check in at the track at 8 a.m. and work 10 to 12 hours, with time for breaks. Limited carpooling is available from Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
Last year was a successful volunteering outing for Women’s Tennis. The team would like to recruit more volunteers this year. If you’re interested, please email Ros at firstname.lastname@example.org.
