Hub New Music at Stetson on Tuesday, Oct. 30

The Hub New Music ensemble will be on campus on Tuesday, Oct. 30, for two events that are open to the University Community:

3:30 – 5:00 p.m., Composers Workshop, Lee Chapel
A reading session for the music of six Stetson student composers: Bobby Abbott, Andrew Aungst, Gracie Caggiano, Adam Cole, Lilly Conley and Brandon Connors-Morrison.

7:30 p.m., Hub New Music Concert, Lee Chapel
A concert featuring works by Nico Muly, Laura Kaminsky and Robert Honstein.

Hub New Music is based in Boston, and in the last year has appeared in a number of venues around the U.S. from New England to the West Coast, where they will return in November this year.¬†They are a chamber quartet known as “one of the most talked about younger contemporary classical ensembles” (Oregon ArtsWatch).¬† The cellist in the group is Stetson alumnus Jesse Christeson, who received his Bachelor of Music in Performance in 2010, as a student of David Bjella.
