Recently, the FBI and Cisco have uncovered a massive infection of over a half-million home routers and consumer devices which are under the control of a Russian hacker group known as APT28. While the details are not fully known at this time, investigators have found these devices are being used to steal credentials and launch further attacks. The FBI is urging everyone to power-cycle your home router and change the password on the router.
For some devices, the infection will persist after a power-cycle and in these cases, the device will need to be factory reset. Contact the manufacturers website for details to perform a factory reset. Here’s a list of the known affected devices:

Please check for and install the latest firmware updates on your home router to ensure it is up to date.
