March 16 deadline for travel to Latin America (two options are free)
Stetson’s Latin American Studies program offers 3 travel options for experiential learning in the region, all with an approaching March 16 application deadline.
- The 4-week LAS summer cultural immersion program in Cuenca, Ecuador. Cost is $3300 plus airfare. It includes all food & lodging with an Ecuadoran family, weekend excursions to Native American communities & exceptional natural areas, plus a 4-credit class on Latin American culture. Travel dates are May 12-June 10
- The LAS Mentored Field Experience course on the Mayan world includes a field component in the Yucatan Peninsula during this coming winter break. Competitively selected students will take a 2-credit prep course this fall and another 2-credit follow-up course in the spring of 2019. The course is free to those students selected.
- The LAS program offers a free 4-6 week internship in the safe and beautiful city of Campeche, every summer in May – June. It includes airfare, food and lodging.
