Introducing the 2018 – 2019 Community Catalyst Houses

Community Catalyst Houses are a living – learning option for 2018-2019 that will engage returning students in an environment at Stetson where living, learning and values meet. Students with common interests (academic or community interests) who have an outward facing desire to enhance our campus and community will live together in a residential house environment to meet a challenge facing our community!

This program is designed to empower and immerse Stetson students to think deeply about their experiences, Stetson, the DeLand community and our global society. Students are encouraged to be imaginative and design their own community by exploring one’s intellectual passions and values, in addition to gaining an awareness of the reality in which others at Stetson and in DeLand experience day to day.

Stetson is offering three theme-based residential communities to students beginning in the 2018 fall semester, including:

  • Sustaining Green-Living, continuing in a third year
  • Arts on the Rise, continuing in a second year
  • Multilingual Living, continuing in a second year

Returning students interested in applying to live in a Community Catalyst House for the 2018 – 2019 Academic Year must visit Housing Central and apply by March 1, 2018!
