The Gillespie Museum’s February Science Saturday takes advantage of “A Better Nectar,” a multi-sensory installation exploring how bumblebees learn and remember floral symbols, currently installed at the Gillespie and at the Hand Art Center. The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
In addition to browsing the art and science of pollination in the museum, young scientists will have an opportunity to observe, to draw and to monitor native pollinators through hands-on activities on the grounds and in the Rinker Environmental Learning Center. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the museum at 386.822.7330 or e-mail email@example.com. The Gillespie Museum is located at 234 E. Michigan Ave., DeLand.
