Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. Financial Literacy Week is Nov. 13-17, and this will be an exciting week full of resources, fun and food for students! For each event attended, you will be entered to win a prize. Wednesday’s event:

- Financial Literacy – Getting Fiscally Fit – Rinker Welcome Center 1st Floor
- This workshop will provide a clear explanation about the importance of Financial Literacy and give an overview of the SALTmoney.org website, which is a free financial literacy program offered to Stetson students. This website provides an easy online platform and one-on-one counseling to help students plan for, pay for, and repay the cost of their degree. It offers personalized student loan help to make borrowing and repayment decisions that fit their lifestyle and money management advice with straightforward budgeting tools that build financial skills.Facilitators: Beth Kieft, Director of Student Financial Planning, Regina Oltorik, Financial Aid Specialist
Student Outcomes: Students will sign up for the free website. They will gain an understanding of the importance of being financially responsible. Students will be more likely to make better financial decisions for a lifetime.
