Friends of Music Concert on Friday | 2017-18 Season Premiere

The School of Music welcomes the community to the 2017 Friends of Music Concert, featuring Stetson’s new assistant professor of music, Sean Kennard, piano. After the concert, you’re invited to walk across Palm Court to a reception in the duPont-Ball Library.

Mr. Kennard will play Chopin’s exquisite Ballade No. 1 in G Minor and Scherzo No. 2 in B-flat Minor, as well as twelve miniature gems from Chopin’s preludes. The concert will close with the riveting “Rondo alla zingarese” movement of Brahms’ Quartet in G Minor, when Mr. Kennard will be joined by his colleagues Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez, violin; Jesus Alfonzo, viola; and David Bjella, cello.

The concert is free and open to the public: Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Chapel/Elizabeth Hall.
