London forensic psychology, summer study abroad

Dear Students:

For those who may be looking for something exciting to do during the summer, we are offering a London summer abroad program for forensic psychology (psyc 311).  You do not need to be a psychology major/minor to take this course and it is open to everyone (i.e. no prerequisite.)  This will be the fourth time I’ve led this program to London and it has been a thrilling, life-changing experience for students.  We spend two weeks in London and do everything from see the major hotspots, such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey (say hello to Queens Elizabeth I and Mary I!), and climb St. Paul’s Cathedral, to see a play on the West End (or Shakespeare’s Globe), to doing a day excursion to either Oxford or Stonehenge.

We also spend a day doing a mock crime scene where you’ll get to don the gown and gloves and do fingerprint analysis, search for clues, etc.  It’s capped off by lunch in one of Her Majesties’ prisons where we’ll be served by real inmates in a first class restaurant behind bars.

Be aware the deadline to apply is rapidly approaching (Feb. 15). You can apply here at the WORLD center website:

Of course, I am happy to meet with anyone who may have an interest or questions!
