Message from the Values Commitment Steering Team
With the semester drawing to a close at the end of a difficult year, the Values Commitment Steering Team would like to wish everyone a safe and restful winter break. We would also like to take this time to remind the Stetson community of the values we promote and share together–personal growth, global citizenship, and intellectual development. Though national and worldwide events may distress us, these methods for engaging with each other are beacons that anchor our principles and strengthen our resolve to practice forethought, consideration, and inclusion. We all benefit from learning about each other and encouraging mutual respect.
To that end, we are looking forward to a fruitful and vibrant 2017. Likewise, our next Values Day on Sept. 26, 2017, will no doubt be a productive and educational opportunity to learn from others, whether they agree or disagree with us. As we move forward, we encourage you to share any ideas or concerns you have about Stetson’s commitment to its core values by emailing us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s to a restorative break and a Happy New Year!
