Mentored Field Experience Presentations!

This Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall Room 315: Come hear about one of the many exciting things Latin American Studies at Stetson is doing!

Each summer, a few students experience a Latin American country with a faculty member FOR FREE through the Mentored Field Experience. Last summer, three students won the competition and experienced Mexico with Dr. Nicole Mottier. We toured ancient ruins, ate authentic Mexican food, saw Frida Kahlo’s home, hung out with mariachis, and learned a lot about Mexican history, politics and society. Come to our MFE presentation to hear students talk about their research and their favorite parts about the trip. Finance major Christine Chase will talk about Mexican wrestling and Education major Alexis Guyton will talk about Mexican immigrant children in American classrooms.

Also, get the chance to hear about how to apply for next Mentored Field Experience to Colombia with Dr. Tony Abbott!
