Open Email Attachments with Caution – Surge in Ransomware infections

Please use caution when determining which email attachments to open, and be especially wary of opening or clicking on a link from an unsolicited email.

We have seen a spike in infected and phishing emails in our systems. In particular, the Locky virus, which spreads as phishing emails that look legitimate. The attachment file, once opened, infects your computer and encrypts your files.
