Come join the MSC in a fish-bowl panel with three students, a faculty member and an administrator discussing what it takes to be a proper ally for people of color, and when being an ally misses the mark. This event will cover topics such as political correctness, the white savior complex, and what happens when one side takes offense without looking at the other side of a situation. In a world where anything can be considered offensive, this event is meant to examine what happens when we’re quick to judge and label others without proper education.
The event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m., in SAGE 222.
This event is cultural credit approved.
