Hear something beautiful this weekend
Plan to take in one (or all three!) of these terrific free concerts presented by the School of Music.
The faculty recital of Lynn Musco, clarinet, and Michael Rickman, piano, will be full of European flare, featuring pieces by Hungarian, Czech, and Irish composers: Saturday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m., in Lee Chapel.
The Great Organists at Stetson series brings Martin Jean to the stage of Lee Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m., for a program of works by J.S. Bach and Dietrich Buxtehude. Dr. Jean is Professor of Organ at the Yale School of Music and Director of the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.
Guest artists Eva Amsler, Professor of Flute at Florida State University, and Shalev Ad-El, music director of Israel’s famed Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, will treat to you in an evening of flute and harpsichord music by Telemann, Corelli, J.S. Bach, and C.P.E. Bach: Monday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m., in Lee Chapel.
The public is welcome to these concerts, and admission is complimentary.
