Stetson community invited to Harbison presentations

Stetson University and the Artists and Lecturers Committee will present one of America’s most distinguished artistic figures, composer and pianist John Harbison in a series of presentations and a public performance on Stetson’s DeLand campus, Wednesday and Thursday, March 26 and 27.

Wednesday, March 26:

2:30 p.m. – Panel discussion with Stetson composers

Location: Presser Hall, room 112

Open to the Stetson community.

6 p.m. – Panel discussion, Today’s New Classical Music, with Stetson composer, Sydney Hodkinson, along with guest composer David Maslanka. Stetson School of Music Dean Thomas Masse will moderate.

Location: Presser Hall, room 204

Open to the public.

Thursday, March 27:

1 p.m. – John Harbison presentation: Introduction to Western Art Music class

Location: Feasel Rehearsal Hall

7:30 p.m.Music of John Harbison Concert; Audience Q&A
