Summer Internship in Campeche, Mexico

Interested in a summer internship in Mexico?

Apply for the 2014 summer internship offered by Stetson’s Latin American Studies program in Campeche, one of the safest cities in Mexico with welcoming people and a relaxed atmosphere. The largest of all Maya ruins, the fabled city of Calakmul, is nearby. Only one student will be selected for this competitive internship award, which covers all travel to the Yucatan Peninsula, housing, and food. The work in the internship can be adjusted to fit the needs and interests of the student. Exact dates are flexible but must take place between the end of our spring semester and mid-June.

If you are interested, follow the link to WORLD’s website for more information on the program.

Applications will be accepted online through this same link and those are due no later than March 16. If you move on to the second round, you will be asked to complete an interview with with a faculty member in the Latin American Studies Department.

For any questions about the application, please contact studyabroad@stetson.edu. For more details about the program, please write Dr. Robert Sitler at rsitler@stetson.edu.

Grad students can also apply, as long as they meet the program requirements (the most important requirement is that they have conversational Spanish skills).

Is this open only to undergrad students? Or Grad students as well?
