Share your Hatter pride and gain wider audiences for your social media activity by using hashtags. Hashtags are identification words or labels preceded by a pound symbol (#) and used in conjunction with social media activity. Hashtags allow social media viewers to quickly search for a subject and find all associated posts.
For example, you might be at a game and post a Facebook update or a tweet that says: “Another touchdown for Stetson Football! #gohatters.” Anyone searching the #gohatters hashtag will see your post or tweet, even if they aren’t on your lists of social media friends or followers. One great way to follow the #gohatters hashtag is to visit the mashup page stetson.edu/go-hatters
Below is a list of frequently used general university hashtags. Individual departments and student organizations also use hashtags specific to their groups. We encourage anyone with a regularly used hashtag to email it to email@example.com for inclusion on a master list to be shared with the Stetson community.
#hatterhc (for Hatter Homecoming)
#stetsonupic (used on Instagram and Facebook)
