Tuition Exchange Benefit 2014-15

Dear Campus community,

One of the many excellent benefits offered to faculty and staff is the Tuition Exchange Scholarship for dependents.

It’s not too early to start thinking about the 2014-2015 academic year. I want to inform the campus about an opportunity for those employees that may have children in the college admission process for the 2014-2015 academic year. Stetson University participates in two Tuition Exchange programs for dependents that are available for employees. One is with The Tuition Exchange, Inc., “TEP”, ( and the other is The Council of Independent Colleges’ Tuition Exchange Program, “CIC”, (

The tuition exchange programs are a reciprocal scholarship program for children and spouses of full-time faculty and staff employed at over 600 participating institutions with TEP and more than 600 with CIC. Awards will vary depending upon the program and school to which your child applies. Awards are full tuition with CIC and some TEP schools, but will be a set rate of $32,500 for 2014-2015, if an institution’s tuition is higher than this rate.

If you have a dependent student wanting to apply for a Tuition Exchange Scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year, guidelines and preliminary applications are available on Human Resources’ website, or by contacting Sandra Aubrey at or 822-7124.  We encourage employees who are considering this option for their dependents to turn in their preliminary applications as soon as possible so that we can certify eligibility. Application deadline is Nov. 1, 2013.

The list of participating schools can be found at for TEP and for CIC.

Please be mindful of the fact that at some schools TE Scholarships are quite competitive and certification of an application does not guarantee a scholarship offer.

If you have any questions about this benefit or how the program works, please do not hesitate to contact me or Sandy Aubrey at or extension 7124.
