Stetson internship in Campeche, Mexico

Want to experience Latin America this summer?   Want to go for free?

Apply for the 2013 summer internship offered by Stetson’s Latin American Studies program in Campeche, Mexico. This competitive internship award covers all travel to the Yucatan Peninsula, housing, food and most other expenses. Conversational Spanish skills are required.

Campeche is one of the safest cities in Mexico with welcoming people and a relaxed atmosphere. The largest of all Maya ruins, the fabled city of Calakmul, are nearby.

The work in the internship can be adjusted to fit the needs and interests of the student but must take place between the end of our spring semester and mid-June.

Apply by writing a 1-2 page essay describing your interests in Latin America, your Spanish abilities, and how an internship would contribute to your Stetson education. For more details, write to Prof. Robert Sitler at

Deadline for application is March 29
