Stetson Admission hosts several events

Stetson University Office of Admission will be hosting several events this weekend starting Thursday, Feb. 14, with the final interviews of J. Ollie Edmunds Scholarship finalists. These finalists will be here to meet the Edmunds family, admission recruiters, past J. Ollie Edmund Scholarship finalists and to tour the campus. They will conclude their visit on Friday, Feb. 15, in the afternoon. You can read more on the current scholars here:

Friday, Feb. 15, the Office of Admission will host two other events on campus as well: Science Exploration Day and an Honors Open House. Admission and the Sciences will be welcoming 28 prospective students to explore the science-related majors Stetson has to offer. This will be the biggest Science Exploration Day in the three years that the event has been held. Information about the day and who will be attending is available online at

Across campus at the Russian Studies Center, the Honors Program will host 15 prospective students and their families. These Honors Program prospects will learn more about the program at Stetson as well as meet faculty and current honors students.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, the Office of Admission will host 200 prospective students and about 600 guests total, for the first Admission Open House of the semester. Students and families will learn more about Stetson, speak with current students and even sit in on a mock class from some of our accomplished faculty. This event, like most of the events this week, is the biggest Open House the Office of Admission has held. Please be kind to admissions and financial aid staff as they try to button up all the last-minute details of these multiple events. You can find the schedule for the day at

The Offices of Admission and Financial Aid and the campus as a whole are excited to have these families here and hope that if you see any of the prospective families this weekend you will welcome them and brag about your positive experiences here at Stetson.
