Hometown: Cocoa, FL
Major: Political Science
Minor: Creative Writing
Class Year: 2022
Involvements on Campus:
Student Ambassador and Phi Alpha Delta
What I Like to Do on Weekends:
Build forts, line dance, sigh when necessary, frolic around campus (only after dark), and try to convince my friends that Easter Egg hunts are acceptable activities all year round.
My Favorite Class at Stetson:
International Law. Every week was themed so it was inevitably exciting to see what was coming up next. I even voluntarily talked in class (a win). Dr. Hamidi taught us very complicated material in a way that was easy to understand. For example, learning about maritime law was particularly entertaining, because although we learned piracy was not allowed under any circumstance, learning the rules of the sea made me feel like if anyone could pull it off, I was in the running. Even if disillusioned, I finished every week feeling like I had a lot of legal potential, either as a criminal or a lawyer.
Advice to Prospective Students:
If you can't regularly get ahold of an administrative office as a prospective student, they definitely won't answer when you're an actual student, so choose a school where the resources they advertise, you know you'll actually be able to utilize. Make sure they aren't just for show.
Favorite Place on Campus:
The 4th floor of the Lynn Business Center (LBC) or any path with the Narnia-looking lamp posts.
