Major: Sociology; History

Involvements on Campus:

Latinx Student Union, Student Ambassadors

What I Like to Do on Weekends:

Go down to Blue Springs with friends and swim. It’s a great bonding experience and it’s great to get a quick break from campus and academics just to reconnect with nature.

My Favorite Class at Stetson:

One God: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam — I love the course itself for its diverse teachings and its deep dive into history, but I also love the kick the class itself gets from Dr. Houston.

Advice to Prospective Students:

Try to find a good middle ground for everything you get involved with. Make sure to put your studies first, but still try to take time for yourself every now and then. Even when the going gets tough, make sure you take care of and prioritize yourself.

Favorite Place on Campus:

My favorite place on campus is Palm Court. Specifically the triangular formation of trees in front of Elizabeth Hall. This is a favorite hammock/hang-out spot for me and my friends. We go out with hammocks, blankets, good music, and some snacks and sit out there, talking and laughing until the sun goes down.
