Why I Chose Stetson:
I chose Stetson because I wanted a school where I could get to know my professors, get involved on campus, and feel comfortable being myself. I found this at Stetson. It was a welcoming and friendly environment and I felt I would be able to get the support I needed on campus while navigating college life.
Involvements on Campus:
I am a Student Ambassador and a Morale Captain for Hatterthon. I also a member of Zeta tau Alpha and serve as the Director of Membership and Enrichment and Sunshine Chair.
What I Like to Do on Weekends:
I love hanging out with new friends, finding fun restaurants to try, and going on last-minute adventures! I am really looking forward to campus activities and athletics resuming when Covid precautions are over.
My Favorite Class at Stetson:
My FSEM class was a highlight for me during my first semester. The Secret Life of Bees, taught by Dr. Sarah Cramer, was such a unique class. I learned so much about a variety of topics in one course. The focus was writing and research, but I learned about sustainable food systems, the importance of bees to our environment and food supply, and how to cultivate honey from the local campus hives. Our professor, Dr.Cramer, served as a great resource and gave guidance to navigating freshman life. I mean, is there anywhere else you can actually visit the hives, harvest honey, and enjoy it on campus for college credit!
Advice to Prospective Students:
My advice for prospective students is to be open-minded in the process and consider what you want in a college experience. Do you want to get involved on campus? Does this college have activities you are interested to be a part of? Learn as much about the campus culture and faculty as before making a decision.
Favorite Place on Campus:
