Why I Chose Stetson:

Opportunities I could never imagine being possible in COVID, and I loved the small class sizes and having a connection with friends and professors.

Involvements on Campus:

Student Ambassador, Alpha Kappa Psi, Lambda Pi Eta, Zeta Tau Alpha (on the program council and executive council), and I work at the front desk of the library in the Hollis Family Student Success Center

What I Like to Do on Weekends:

Hang out with friends and family, go to the Springs in DeLand or the beach, experience new places, travel, and try new foods.

My Favorite Class at Stetson:

My FSEM class was a highlight for me during my first semester. The Secret Life of Bees, taught by Dr. Sarah Cramer, was such a unique class. I learned so much about a variety of topics in one course. The focus was writing and research, but I learned about sustainable food systems, the importance of bees to our environment and food supply, and how to cultivate honey from the local campus hives. Our professor, Dr. Cramer, served as a great resource and gave guidance to navigating freshman life. I mean, is there anywhere else you can actually visit the hives, harvest honey, and enjoy it on campus for college credit?

Advice to Prospective Students:

Ask all the questions, enjoy every single moment of your classes and clubs you get involved in, and just enjoy your time here at Stetson because it will fly by super fast.

Favorite Place on Campus:

Palm Court, hands down! This is my favorite spot on campus because of the beautiful open space to sit and enjoy nature, and the fountain is amazing.
