Always wanted to learn guitar? Maybe you'd like to brush up on some self-taught skills? Our adult group guitar classes are just the thing! We offer two six-week classes both focused on general skills in the pop/rock genre. Join us on Monday nights this spring for great group instruction in a fun, relaxed environment.
Spring 2018 Courses
Beginning Pop/Rock Guitar - Level 1
6:00 p.m. starting Monday, February 26, 2018, Presser Hall 352
This is a fun, six-week introductory class for beginners just learning to play, or for those wanting to dust off that guitar that’s been in its case for years! Learn chords, strumming and much more using popular music. Come and learn to play guitar!
Intermediate Pop/Rock Guitar - Level 2
7:15 p.m. starting Monday, February 26, 2018, Presser Hall 352
This six-week class is for those who can already play chords and strum but want to learn more. Whether you’re feeling stuck or just interested in becoming a better guitar player, this class will challenge you and give you tools to be more creative and confident in your guitar playing.
Meet your instructor!
Patrick Anderson is an active musician and educator and currently serves as music director at Christ Community Church in Daytona Beach, Florida. As a guitarist, he has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, won top awards at various competitions and is currently finishing up a doctorate in music from the University of Southern California. As an educator, he has worked as an assistant professor of music at Cedarville University, taught at the Master’s College and Westmont College, and given many guitar clinics across the country.
