How did military service prepare you for the study of law or for life in general?
Compared to my drill sergeants and first sergeants, law professors are some of the nicest people. As a result, the Socratic Method used in law school is not intimidating. In fact, I enjoy debating with professors because, as a soldier, I never had the opportunity to argue with my military superiors.

What do you think civilians should know about those in the service?
Serving in the military is not easy. For many service men and women, every day in the military is a personal sacrifice, but all of them serve with a smile, if not on their faces in their hearts.
