Biography
Jeffrey C. Brooks is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law for the Fall 2024 semester, teaching International Law.
Professor Brooks is a member of LSU Law Center faculty. He is the faculty director of the Law Center’s Field Placement Program and of its moot court, mock trial, and alternative dispute resolution program.
Prior to joining the LSU Law Center, Brooks practiced law as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department, where he was a trial attorney representing the City of New York and the New York City Police Department in federal civil rights cases.
Professor Brooks is a 2006 graduate of Tulane University Law School, where he was named to the Order of the Barristers. While at Tulane, he was the Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Journal of Law and Sexuality, a Senior Justice on Tulane’s Moot Court Board, the President of its Public Interest Law Society, and a member of Tulane’s Jessup International Law Moot Court Team and National Environmental Law Moot Court Team.
