Admissions and Entering Awards Committee

Responsibilities are to develop and administer admissions policies and procedures, participate in developing recruiting strategies, and study yield factors. The Committee will make admission decisions for the J.D. and LL.M. programs in consultation with the Executive Director of Admissions and Student Financial Planning, the Associate Dean for Academics, and LL.M. program directors (Professor Morgan and Dean Cooper). The Committee also has a role to play in selecting candidates for the J.D./Grado dual-degree program. Committee members will participate in recruiting new students via email, phone calls, and participating in some recruiting events. In addition, the Committee makes recommendations to the Dean regarding scholarships for entering students and determines whether returning merit scholars who are not in the top 1/3 of their class may keep their scholarship for a probationary semester.
