Professor Anderson joined Stetson's faculty in 2007 after serving one year as a visiting assistant professor of legal skills. Involved in legal education since 1996, prior to joining Stetson she spent four years as a professor of legal skills at Pierce Law in Concord, N.H., and three years as an online L.A.W. professor at Concord Law School. She has served as the program director of the legal studies program at Woodbury College in Montpelier, Vt., where she also served as the academic dean.
Professor Anderson practiced law in northern New Hampshire before entering the legal education arena. She also worked for the New Hampshire court system and as the assistant director and assistant contract officer of The Hitchcock Foundation.
Professor Anderson has regularly made presentations about assessment and learning outcomes at regional and national conferences of the Legal Writing Institute. She serves as a member of the Accessibility Committee of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a national human rights organization that focuses entirely on protecting sexual freedom and ending sexual violence.
Professor Anderson's research focuses on assessment and learning theory as applied to legal education, and the law of sexuality, in particular the criminalization of consensual adult sexual behavior.
