SLDC Essay Contest and Remaining Events

Participants will receive one credit toward their leadership certificate and the winner will be announced at the April luncheon. To enter the contest, please submit a 1 to 2 page paper to by April 6th at 5:00 P.M. on the following topic.

Essay Prompt:
The Student Leadership Development program highlights six pillars of leadership. They are communication, service, team-building, community, problem-solving, and management. If you were the next luncheon presenter, which pillar of leadership would you present, what would you discuss with the group, and why?

You can volunteer on April 4th at the Gulfport Recreational Center for “Fun in the Sun,” and get pro bono and leadership credit, or attend our April 8th luncheon featuring the Mayor of St. Pete, Rick Kriseman.
