Save the Date – Uniform Motion Calendar Event, 3/21

Do you want to be prepared for your first year of practice? Do you want to be coached by local attorneys and judges? Come join The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Law Student Division on March 21st 6-8pm for a skills-based evening that will provide you with tools to be successful in your first years of practice. A hearing on the Uniform Motion Calendar is the most common hearing for a new lawyer to attend and argue. As lawyers, you quickly learn that there is nothing “uniform” about these motion calendars, and this workshop aims to provide new lawyers with tools to avoid common pitfalls while demonstrating the importance of preparation for what can sometimes feel like a perfunctory hearing. Local attorneys and judges will be in attendance to coach students in small groups during the workshop. The first 30 students to RSVP on HatterSync will get to participate actively, and those after the first 30 will be welcome to attend and watch the event
