Last chance to RSVP for Foreman Biodiversity Lecture on Thursday, March 1 – manatee conservation

Please join us on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at noon in the Great Hall for the next Edward and Bonnie Foreman Biodiversity Lecture! Anne Harvey Holbrook, staff attorney at Save the Manatee Club, will present, “Manatee Conservation: Current Status and Issues to Watch.”

This lecture will present the history, current state, and future directions of manatee conservation in Florida, highlighting Save the Manatee Club’s work to protect the species. Anne will address the recent downlisting of the manatee from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act, and assess continued and emerging threats to the species’ long-term survival.
