International Education Week – Caribbean Thursday!
For those who want a quicker trip sprinkled with some tropical relaxation, we offer our fall intersession in the Cayman Islands! Stop by the Bistro on Thursday to enjoy the Caribbean-themed menu:
Pulled Pork Sliders
Caribbean Jerk Chicken Tenders
Red Beans and Rice
The pulled pork sliders are highly recommended! After you’ve eaten, stop by the breezeway and pick up information about our Cayman Islands program during winter break. This program is open to 2Ls and 3Ls each year. You can earn 2 credits in 2 weeks in the tropical paradise of the Cayman Islands, with a break between class weeks to celebrate the New Year. Classes for this program change every year, but usually include some of the following themes: Caribbean human rights, maritime law, tax regulation law, environmental law, and comparative international law.
This year, you’ll be joining Professor Morrissey, who will be teaching U.S. Corporations, Tax Evasion, and the Cayman Islands during the first week and International Commercial Law the second week. You have a choice of classes each week (pick one of two offered). We have one spot remaining for this year’s program for a female student wishing to share a room.
We will also visit the Grand Court, and we are working on a visit to the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). Fun excursions (at one’s own expense) are also being organized to do horseback riding on the beach, a bioluminescence tour, and a visit Cayman Crystal Caves, just to name a few.
Are you ready for a life-changing experience?
If you have questions about the program or the application process, please contact Kristen Cohen.
