Important notice for 2Ls interested in Clinics – YOU CAN participate in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic as a 2L
This is an important clarification for all 2L students interested in pursuing a Spring, 2018, externship. 2Ls who have successfully completed their first year coursework in good standing, and have completed Professional Responsibility by the start of the spring semester may apply for any clinic that does not require CLI clearance. That includes the Veterans Advocacy Clinic and the Immigration Law Clinic.
All CLI clinics require 4 semesters and 48 credit hours prior to participation – again, the Veterans Advocacy Clinic and the Immigration Law Clinic require only completion of first year coursework in good standing, and have completed Professional Responsibility by the start of the spring semester.
Registration for all students interested in participating in any clinic or externship course for Spring 2018, is open, and will run through October 16, at 9:00 a.m. Need help on how to register – watch our step-by-step “How To” video here.
To apply, students will need a resume, unofficial transcript, and brief personal statement as to the placement(s) of their choosing. Students will also need to fill out our online application, found at: https://secure.stetson.edu/law/cai
Information on all available clinic and externship opportunities is available at the Clinical Education website: https://www.stetson.edu/law/academics/clinical-education/
