Important Announcement from the Law Library
The health and welfare of the Stetson community is of the utmost importance. The College of Law and the university continue to follow the guidance from the state, county, and local officials, as well as the Florida Department of Health. With all that in mind, unfortunately, the Dolly and Homer Hand Law Library will be closing its doors—here in Gulfport and Tampa—as of 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26. At that time, the libraries will be emptied, and the swipe card access disabled.
This was a very difficult decision for us to make, and we look forward to the day when we will open our doors to you again.
But we, here at the Hand Law Library, are all about giving you a hand, so we will continue to do so virtually.
Reference assistance will be offered email email@example.com or via phone (727) 562-7821 during the following times:
- Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 1:00–5:00 p.m.
- You can email the reference librarians (at firstname.lastname@example.org) to schedule chat sessions thru Microsoft teams. Or search for “lawrefgp” on Microsoft Teams (during the hours on Monday–Friday) to reach a librarian.
- And do not let the hours above stop you from emailing us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Checking Out Print Materials? Send an email to our Circulation team at email@example.com with the author, title, and call number of the book, and the book will be checked out to you. Once processed, the materials can be picked up Monday–Friday, between 1:00–5:00 p.m. Please come to the back door of the library. (The back door is located off of the South Library parking lot. Follow the signs for “deliveries.”)
Returning Print Materials? Come to the back door of the library, Monday–Friday, between 1:00–5:00 p.m.
Need to Renew Overdue Items? Renewing is easy! Access MyLibrary on the library webpage to renew items. If that does not seem to work, email the Circulation team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Need an Inter-Library Loan? Unfortunately, at this time, we can only obtain articles via interlibrary loan, not books. Please email Reference Librarian, Kristen Moore, email@example.com, with the citation for the article you are looking for, and she will submit a request. Please allow yourself plenty of time, as other libraries limit services, finding a lender may take more time.
Received a Notification That You Have a Package to Pick up? Come to the backdoor of the library, Monday–Friday, between 1:00–5:00 p.m.
Having Difficulties Accessing One of Our Databases? Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or Jason Buckmelter, email@example.com.
